Maidenhair’s common name is due to the scalloped shaped leaves resembling a maiden’s hair.  Prehistoric tree, being the only one of its kind and similar to cycads and ferns.  Often planted in parks, gardens, arboretums and city parks. Ginkgo is used as a supplement to stimulate the opening of small, fine blood vessels in the human body.
