Height up to 50 m
Natural range: Sierra Nevada in California.
The famous specimen ‘General Sherman’ reached a phenomenal size of 81 m in height and 94 m in girth. The giant redwood’s leaves are coarse, its bark reddish and spongy.
At the back of the tree have a look at hollows in the bark used as roosting sites.
