Leicestershire and Rutland Ornithological Society (LROS) and Leicester City Council have been working together to protect the peregrine falcons that have been nesting in the city for the last few years. After initially nesting on the office block near the St George’s roundabout, the peregrines have moved to a specially built nesting platform on the tower of Leicester Cathedral.
Come and hear about the project from Jim Graham of LROS at our meeting.
There is also an opportunity to take part in a Peregrine Watch between 9.30 am and 1.30 pm in St Martin’s. (Please check the project watch day page nearer the time to be sure that the watch is going ahead.)
