Knighton Wild’s next practical activity for St Mary Magdalen Churchyard will be building and installing various habitats for bees and other insects. This is likely to include logs with holes drilled in them, bamboo canes, nesting boxes and a hibernaculum for a range of different types of insect.
The provisional dates are 17th March to make the habitats and 7th April to install them in the churchyard. If you are interested, please get in touch with us as space is limited for the making on 17th March. Email info@knightonwild,org.uk.
The photo here shows a habitat in the Sensory Garden at Knighton Park. We are thinking of something that would be in keeping with the churchyard while providing similar types of habitat.
