Pond Cleaning at Wash Brook Nature Reserve – 20th December 2017

Note change of time

Come and help tidy up the pond and the area around it at the Wash Brook Nature Reserve (off Knighton Lane East near Lancaster Academy and Sir Jonathan North Community College) from 12.00 noon to 3.00 pm on Wednesday 20th December 2017.

We shall be working with the City Council, who manage the reserve, as a group of volunteers to help clean rubbish out of the pond and tidy up the marginal areas around the pond to support wildlife like this azure damselfly (coenagrion puella).

Azure damselfly (Coenagrion puella)

The location of the reserve, and information about the wildlife that has been found there is on its NatureSpot page.

We shall meet at the pond, which is on the north-east side near where the bridge crosses the brook.  Please let us know in advance if you would like to come along.  Email: info@knightonwild.co.uk.
