Practical Session in Knighton Park
Thursday 27th July, 7.00 pm to 9.00 pm – Meet at the Palmerston Way Car Park
At our meeting on the value of trees in March we agreed to carry out some survey work to establish how trees in Knighton contribute to the environment and to health and well-being by taking up carbon dioxide, reducing pollution, providing shade, reducing flooding, and providing many other services.
To start the process off, we are running a practical session in Knighton Park on Thursday 27th July to learn how to measure and estimate the various dimensions of a tree that we need to record, and to practise our tree identification skills.
Join us for an evening in the park and an opportunity to learn some new skills.
