Wednesday 24th May 2017, 7.30 pm, The Lounge, Knighton Parish Centre, Church Lane, LE2 3WG.
The AGM will include reports on the last year’s activities and elections of the steering committee. After a break for refreshments, three members will be talking about wildlife in Knighton.
Alan Cann has taken hundreds of photos of wildlife in Knighton and significantly contributed to the total number of species recorded on NatureSpot in Knighton over the last year. He will be showing photos of some of the more unusual species he has found.
Chris Cheetham has been surveying the tetrad that includes Knighton for the Botanical Society of Britain and Ireland Atlas 2020. She will be presenting some of the interesting plants that have been found and talking about the changes that have taken place in the area and the wider county of Leicestershire.
Simon Bennett will be talking about and showing photos of some of the bugs and beetles he has found in his garden since starting to use NatureSpot, including an invasive species that turned out to be a county first.
